Fort Langley’s Golden Ears

A plan to connect the Trans Canada Trail with a new bridge has been approved by the Langley Township council. Construction has begun on the Golden Ears Bridge, which will cross the Fraser River, providing a vital link from Langley to Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows.

A photo rendering of the future, completed bridge. Spectacular scenery, non?

FYI, the names of donors and sponsors of Trail can be found at the Fort Langley pavilion at River Road and Mavis Avenue.

Does anyone know how the Golden Ears bridge got its name? Just curious… [:]
